Happy Spring! (aka, We Survived St. Pat's 2015)

Wowza! Thanks so much to everyone who came out and celebrated Irish Heritage Season with us.

We had a great tour to Chicagoland, culminating in a concert at the beautiful Maple Street Chapel in Lombard IL, and featured stops at Dublin Square Pub in LaCrosse, WI; Miss Kitty's Grape Escape in Galena IL; and the Monkey Funhouse Theater in Madison, WI. There's even some video online from Maple Street Chapel:

The "Park the Bus Tour" at Charlie's Irish Pub was a blast (March 13-15) and we managed to stay standing all day on March 17 for 3 shows in St. Paul and Minneapolis. But now we're SPENT!!!

Thankfully we have a little break now - but there are some very exciting things on the horizon so stay tuned. If you haven't already, please sign our email list for full-fledged updates every month. And there's always Facebook & Twitter as well.

If you didn't pick up a copy of the new EP "Invested" featuring 5 live tracks with the new band lineup, you can now purchase it online at CDBaby.com! More sites available soon...

Here Ye, Here Ye! Official New Hound Welcome!

With great excitement and enthusiasm, we are thrilled to introduce you to our newest official member of the Hounds of Finn, Lojo Russo! We are psyched to share our talents and creativity as we collaborate and explore many future musical endeavors together!

Lojo has been described (accurately, we believe) as an artist whose "boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm for her music is apparent to anyone listening and everyone watching." And if you've been fortunate to experience Lojo live, you'll agree with us and others that she is a gifted entertainer who plays with --- and not at --- her audience.

Not only is Lojo great at connecting with an audience, but she also offers up many talents as a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, mandolin, bodhran, bass, and even ukulele. And she's a kick-ass vocalist as well!

We're also excited to announce that we'll be joined by special guest musicians on an ongoing basis so please be sure to stay tuned via our website, Facebook, and Twitter. And you can keep up with Lojo on her website and Facebook page too!

We hope you are as charged as we are with this news, and we're eager to share rousing musical adventures to come with you.

Where you can find us.
You can join us for some mid-winter hijinks at Charlie's Irish Pub on Friday and Saturday, January 30 and 31, from 7:30 until 11:30 pm both nights. And we hope you'll celebrate St. Patrick's Day with us beginning with a three-day run at Charlie's Irish Pub from Friday through Sunday, March 13, 14, and 15, and wrapping up with The Dubliner, Dan Kelly's, and more on Tuesday, March 17. We'll keep our calendar up-to-date so you can plan ahead.

Chicago (and more) here we come.
We're hitting the road for a mini-tour the first weekend of March and excited to see some Chicagoland-area friends both old and new. We'll be at the Maple Street Chapel Folk Series in Lombard, Illinois, on Saturday, March 7, and we're honored and grateful for their invitation.  You can find out more and purchase your tickets here. We're still nailing down some details for several other shows along the way and we'll update our calendar as shows are confirmed.

Happy New Year!
We wish you a very Happy New Year and we're looking forward to sharing our music and more good times together during 2015. Thank you for your friendship and support!

Slainte,

Pete and Michelle ( and LOJO too!)

Happy Holidays From the Hounds!

Thank you all for being patient as we sort ourselves out and breathe a little after the busy Festival season of 2014!

We are excited about the new direction the band is going and are psyched to share some new music and new musical friends with you in the near future!

We are so looking forward to playing Charlies Irish Pub in Stillwater this month with our friend Lojo Russo!  Here is an excerpt from Lojo's webpage: "Lojo Russo connects with her audience in a way few perfomers can.  Her enormous stage energy, powerful voice and percussive playing style belie her small frame.  This little woman puts on one heckuva big show. "

You can catch the Hounds at Morrisey's Irish Pub, Uptown, on Monday Dec 7th to help celebrate "Malarkey Irish Radio CD release party"! Doors at 7pm. Hounds will only play for short while and the order of when we play has yet to be determined! Come early and party with us till we play!

December 19th and 20th is the date for our return to Charlie's Irish Pub with Lojo Russo, hope you can make it, its going to be an UBER FUN and Spectacular show!

We wish you all a fantastic Holiday Season and know that we appreciate each and every one of you!

laethanta saoire sona!  (Happy Holidays)!

Happy October!

Hey folks - Pete here from the Hounds.

With the onset of October comes a much needed slow down for the Hounds of Finn. We had a very interesting year with many great highlights and some pretty profound low points as well. I am so thankful for all of your support of our band over the years, and I look forward to maintaining our relationship with you as we evolve.

We wish our colleague Leslie Rich all the best in his future endeavors. If you want to keep up with him, you can find him online here.

We will not be appearing at Charlie's this month - we're canceling our Oct 17 & 18 scheduled performances.

However - we will return in November and December with some special guests that we'd like to introduce to you. On November 7 and 8 we'll be joined at Charlie's with Ian Gould, a new friend of ours from Milwaukee. And on December 19 & 20th, we'll be joined by an old friend - Lojo Russo!

Have a great month and we hope to see many of you in November at Charlie's in Stillwater. All the best!

Sincerely,

Pete McCauley

Get your charity on!

Hi All - Pete here. This Saturday we're performing at a fundraising event for my son Finn's school - the Hamline Elementary School in St. Paul.

Hamline Elementary doesn't have enough funds to hire full time music or art teachers. As a result we are hoping to help raise funds for "Artists in Residence" - professionals who can spend a few weeks at a time sharing their creative pursuits with our children.

Full details can be found here

The Hounds go on from 3:30-4:30pm. We hope to see you there!
