Come and celebrate with us!

Are you ready for a party? We are and we have much to celebrate! We're back from our 2017 hiatus -- we missed you! Leslie has returned from an even longer hiatus from the Hounds -- we missed him (and we think he might have missed us too). Spring is arriving, St. Patrick's Day is this weekend, and we're heading down to Chicagoland. Here's where you can find us:

St. Patrick's Day+
Friday, March 16th
7:30 - 11:30 pm
Charlie's Irish Pub
Water Street Inn, Stillwater, MN
Leslie & Pete Duo

We're kicking off the St. Patrick's Day festivities with some old songs, favorite covers, new material, and some of your requests (especially if you use one of the official green and white Hounds' request forms). Come raise your voices and a pint or two with us!

Saturday, March 17th
12:30 - 2:30 pm
Pub Tent
Water Street Inn, Stillwater, MN
Leslie, Pete, and Michelle

It's St. Patrick's Day! Begin your celebration of all things Irish with us during an afternoon set in the heated Pub Tent while enjoying lunch from a special Irish menu, a pint or two (or a shot with Michelle), singing, dancing, and some malarkey. The Jolly Groggers will follow us at 3 pm.

Saturday, March 17th
7:00 - 11:00 pm
Pub Tent
Water Street Inn, Stillwater, MN
Leslie, Pete, Michelle, and Lojo

This is the first time the four of us will be performing together and there's only one thing we're certain of, this will be a fun, shenanigans-filled night you won't soon forget. We're been rehearsing together for months and we'll be bringing you a variety of original songs, traditional tunes, old favorites, and a few surprises. From the first toast to the parting glass, you'll be among friends!

$5 cover, or $10 for cover and a commemorative T-shirt from Charlie's Irish Pub.

Chicagoland, here we come!

Saturday, March 24th
7:30 - 9:30 pm (Doors at 7 pm)
Maple Street Chapel
200 South Main Street, Lombard, IL
Tickets: $16 each

Three of us (Pete, Michelle, and Lojo) had the pleasure of performing at this gorgeous venue with amazing acoustics a couple of years ago and we are honored they invited us back. It was a magical night and we had so much fun that we wanted to share the experience with Leslie this time. We hope to see all of our Chicago area friends at the show and we hope that some of our friends from the Twin Cities and elsewhere will hit the road and join us too.

Visit the Maple Street Concerts website for more information or to purchase tickets in advance.

We're working on lining up some future shows so please keep in touch with us on FacebookTwitter, and right here on our website.

Thanks for your support and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Pete, Michelle, Lojo, and Leslie

Greetings all! Happy new year!

We wish you all health and good fortune for 2018.

WE ARE RETURNING TO CHICAGOLAND!

On Saturday March 24, we'll be performing at one of our favorite venues in the world - MAPLE STREET CONCERTS in Lombard IL (20 miles west of Chicago). This amazing venue is a reconditioned church with amazing acoustics and atmosphere; it is an experience not to be missed.

Tickets are only $16; you should make a road trip to come join us. PS - LESLIE RICH will be performing with us!

For full info visit maplestreetconcerts.org/schedule - We are looking forward to this one!

More soon. Sincerely, PRM

HIATUS!

Love us or hate us, we're taking a hiatus.

The Hounds of Finn are going to take a break from public life for a little while. We're not sure how long exactly - but we're not going to worry or try to define it. We're planning to take time to spend with our families, pursue some advanced education, bolster our professional careers, and try to catch up with our friends and rebuild our social lives. At some point we will probably pick up again with the Hounds; but we're not going to make any commitments for a while.

That being said, if you have a really great event happening, or know of an interesting opportunity, and you would like to see if the Hounds of Finn will consider participating, please feel free to contact us and inquire! We'll still be around, monitoring our correspondence.

In the meantime, stay well, do good work, and keep in touch! We will do the same. You can still buy our music, watch our videos, connect with us on Facebook, and even maybe catch us out & about in support of our musical friends performing in and around the Twin Cities!

All the very best to you all from the Hounds of Finn!

Sincerely yours,

Pete McCauley

And we thank each and every one of you for all your friendship and support over the years. It's an honor and a pleasure to share our love of music with you all! Hope to see you soon.

Fridays in the Park
We'll be up along the North Shore for Fridays in the Park (part of the Arts on Superior series) on Friday, August 12 (tomorrow). August is the perfect time, and the Paul Gauche Bandshell at Thomas Owens Park in Two Harbors, is the perfect place, to enjoy an evening of music on the shore of Lake Superior. Bring friends, your family, a blanket, lawn chairs, and a picnic basket or enjoy a hamburger or brat basket served by The Pub. We're kicking off our set at 7 pm. (Rain site: United Church of Two Harbors)

Irish Fair of Minnesota
The Irish Fair of Minnesota will be bringing craic, shenanigans, and all things Irish back to Harriet Island in Saint Paul, Friday through Sunday, August 12, 13, and 14. You can find us there on Saturday, August 13, in the Pub Tent at 4:30 pm and on the River Stage at 6 pm.

And in September . . . Northeast South Dakota Celtic Faire & Games
We're excited to be heading back to the Northeast South Dakota Celtic Faire & Games in Aberdeen, and we'll be performing twice on Saturday, September 17. This year our pals The Northerly Gales and the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band also are on the bill. Road trip anyone?

We hope to see you soon!

With thanks and appreciation,

Pete, Michelle, and Lojo

Two weekends, three festivals; Chicago, here we come!

Irish American Heritage Festival

We're thrilled to be sharing the bill with Eileen Ivers, the High Kings, and many more talented artists and bands at the 31st annual Irish American Heritage Festival. We'll be on the 5th Province Stage from 7 until 8:30 pm on Sunday, July 10.

The folks from the Irish American Heritage Center will be bringing you "three days of the finest Irish and American music, dance, food, cultural exhibits, import stores, and children's activities" beginning TODAY, Friday, July 8, and continuing through Sunday, July 10.

Stop by after our set and say "Hi!" We can't wait to see you!

Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival

We'll be back in Chicagoland on Saturday, July 16, for our second appearance at the Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival (also in its 31st year!). Find us on the Music Stage in Dawes Park on the shores of Lake Michigan at 3:45 pm and enjoy music, food, crafts, children's activities, and shopping from around the globe while celebrating the cultural diversity that makes our country special.

Woodstock Folk Festival

The magic number for us this month seems to be "31" because it's also the 31st annual Woodstock Folk Festival and we'll be there on Sunday, July 17. It all begins at Noon and wraps up at 6 pm and we'll be joined by esteemend folk artists Small Potatoes, Tret Fure, The Reverend Robert B. Jones, the Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio, Woody Pines, Villa Palagonia, and Bill Staines. We're on at 5 pm and we'll all be performing en masse for the All-Sing Finale at 5:40 pm. Join the fun at Woodstock Square in historic Woodstock, Illinois.
